We run clinics in three locations: Havant, Petersfield and Wickham

Havant is a full-time clinic, five days a week. Petersfield every Thursday and Friday and Wickham every Monday. We can offer appointments, usually, within 3 – 5 days.

One ear: £60

Two ears: £80

No wax or infection found: £30

We recommend using olive drops 3-5 days before the appointment. This ensures the wax is softened and the ears are lubricated meaning the removal is more comfortable for the client.

The reason we don’t recommend these products is that they are acidic and can make the ear canals sore. Also, they dissolve the wax into a paste consistency which is difficult to suction from the ear canal.

No. Micro suction is the safest method of wax removal. The wax is gently removed from the ear canal with a suction and does not affect the delicate balance of the ear.

Jaine qualified as a Hearing Aid Audiologist in 2006 and set up Waxaxe in 2018 performing micro suction ear wax removal full time. That’s nearly 20 years ear experience!

Emma is from a medical background and has benefitted from intensive training and supervision to become an extremely competent ear wax removal specialist.

We always do a video otoscopy examination before the procedure. If the appearance of the ear canals shows an infection it is still safe to perform micro suction. This may improve the hearing and will give us a better view of the health of the ear. We can email pictures to the client to show their GP when they go for further diagnosis

Micro suction is the only procedure to use when the eardrum is perforated and is perfectly safe. Water should never be used.

Both Jaine and Emma are experienced ear professional and are familiar with all sorts of ear conditions. We go through the medical consent form before proceeding and will gather relevant information relating to the client’s ear history before proceeding. If they and the client are happy to proceed, micro suction is perfectly safe.

We are not qualified or insured to treat under 18’s. Children and young adults should be under NHS care if they have ear problems.

Yes, all our clinics have disabled access. Petersfield and Wickham clinics have free parking outside.

There are records of people claiming they developed tinnitus after the micro suction procedure. It is extremely rare and usually dies down after a period of time.

Sometimes. Water irrigation if the wax is extremely compacted or extremely soft and sticky. Some clients prefer the water irrigation method.

Of course! We need wax in our ears. It is anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal to protect against infection. It lubricates the ear and cleans it by picking up dirt, dust, dead skin etc. We recommend olive oil drops once a week or so to keep the wax soft and lubricate the ear canal to keep it moving.

Our video otoscope is an advanced medical device used to examine the ear canal and eardrum (tympanic membrane) in greater detail than a traditional otoscope. The key difference is that it incorporates a small camera that transmits live video images to a display screen, allowing healthcare professionals to get a clear, magnified view of the ear's internal structures. The powerful light source allows crystal clear images on the computer. A unique built-in heater minimises condensation for a crisp, detailed image.

Our video otoscope allows images to be saved and can be emailed to clients to be used for further medical diagnosis.
